In the unfortunate event of you passing away, your family will receive a payout of up to R50 000 to cover burial expenses, upon a valid claim.

Our family funeral plan covers you, your partner, and up to five of your children.

• An additional R2, 500 grocery benefit will be paid out at no extra cost when the policyholder or the partner passes away.
• R5000 contribution will be paid towards erecting a tombstone at no extra cost after 12 months, when the policyholder or the partner passes away.
• For continued cover, please ensure that your family funeral plan premium is paid in full on a monthly basis.
• Only one partner and up to five children under the age of 21 may be covered under this policy.
• Please note that your premium will increase by 6% and your cover will increase by 5% annually.
• To qualify for cover you and your family must be South African citizens. 
• Claims are paid out within 48 hours of receipt of all required documents.

Waiting periods:

• A six-months waiting period applies for death due to natural causes.
• No waiting period applies for accidental death, once you have paid your 1st premium.
• A 12 months waiting period applies for death due to suicide.

Premiums for your funeral can be collected via payment on your Edgars account or debit order
